FEBRUARY 2021

Upcoming: FREE Online Naloxone Training 3/1

Join us online March 1 at 6:00 p.m. This 1-hour class prepares you to save the life of a suspected opioid/heroin overdose patient using a nasal spray.

The FREE overdose reversal kit will be sent to you upon completion of the training session. Registration is limited to 25 participants, so register soon.

WHEN:DFCC presented naloxone training on 2/1 to a full class of Webster residents and scheduled this additional training session due to overwhelming demand. The class is taught by our very own WHEN:DFCC Steering Committee member, Jason Teller, who is an Addictions Specialist for Monroe County Office of Mental Health and a wealth of information and expertise. Don't miss this opportunity!

12 Things Parents Can Do to Prevent Addiction

WHEN is pleased to be partnered with The Addiction Policy Forum, a nationwide nonprofit organization dedicated to eliminating addiction as a major health problem. With resources and services in every state, they are leading the fight against the deadly consequences of addiction and helping patients, families, and communities affected by the disease.

What can you do?

Invest four and a half minutes to watch this video (or read this document) detailing 12 Things Parents Can Do to Prevent Addiction. You’ll learn key prevention strategies, as well as why and how they work. Parents can't control all risk factors, but there is a lot we can do!
